4th of July Barbeque Chicken

This is a marinade and also a sauce for serving. Get creative, it's a very flexible recipe.

Chicken Marinade & Sauce:
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 of a lemon, juiced
1/2 cup canned whole tomatoes, or 2 whole peeled, seeded tomatoes, roughly chopped
1 tbs hot sauce
2 tbs brown sugar

1/2 cup ketchup
2 tbs apple cider vinegar
2 tbs brown sugar

Directions:
Mix well, marinate chicken for 30 minutes to several hours. Discard marinade and grill chicken until done (juices run clear).

Once chicken is grilling, add 1/2 cup ketchup, 2 tbs apple cider vinegar and 2 tbs brown sugar to a saucepan. Bring to a boil until thickened, brush half the sauce onto chicken for the last few minutes of grilling (2-3 minutes per side) serve remaining sauce with chicken.
