Gin and Juice

I don't think this is exactly what Snoop Dogg had in mind when he was singing about it in 1993, but it's certainly what I prefer. Very crisp and refreshing for the almost-summer heat here in Arizona.

Gin and Red Grapefruit Juice:
(makes as many as needed)

1 part premium gin like Tanqueray
2 parts fresh squeezed pink or red grapefruit juice (use sweet grapefruits)
Ice

Directions:
Add liquids, shake over ice, serve immediately. Enjoy!

Ohh I am loving anything with red grapefruit juice in it..

Your cocktail has such a pretty color to it! If it's not what Snoop was singing about, bet he'd change his tune if he had one these! ha! geddit? Change his tune!

*sigh*

I'll keep my day job.

Hi Lis!

Yeah, the grapefruit was SO pretty and the color was pretty intense. Very sweet too.

I like your Snoop joke. :)

Peabody - too funny!! It's already in the 90's here and quite hot, dry and sunny.

I'm bookmarking this for summer. Of course, I'm with Peabody... our spring turned to a sudden winter. I would love to be baking in the sun in AZ!

I'm in Florida, and blessed with fresh grapefruits hanging from the trees everywhere around here for months. Duncan (white) grapefruits are even more suited for gin. Citrus season is about over, so I've got my juice, premixed with Sapphire, frozen into a slush, waiting for a 90 degree beach day.

I'll let you know how it turns out, as I think giving it a month or so for flavors to meld will actually improve this already incredibly smooth cocktail.

The chap is absolutely just, and there is no question.
